Meet the Caprese salad that went rogue, slapped on some bacon, and got saucy with smoky taco aioli. It’s bold, it’s messy, and it’s 100% worth it.

This isn’t your Nonna’s Caprese. We took the sweet, fresh charm of the OG—tomatoes, mozzarella, basil—and turned up the heat with spicy, smoky aioli. Then, because we don’t believe in moderation, we invited crispy bacon to the party. The result? A sandwich that’s equal parts Italian chic and unapologetic chaos. Warning: once you try it, plain Caprese may never hit the same again.

Ingredients
-
1 T Taco Seasoning
-
¼ C mayonnaise
-
10 slices cooked bacon
-
2 fresh tomatoes, sliced
-
1 large ball of fresh mozzarella, sliced
-
Handful of fresh basil leaves
-
4 ciabatta rolls
Directions
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and Taco Seasoning. Set aside.
Slice ciabatta rolls in half and toast.
Spread taco-mayo on each half of the ciabatta rolls.
Divide and layer remaining ingredients on the bottom half of the ciabatta roll.
From the bottom to the top—a couple slices of mozzarella and tomato, bacon, a few basil leaves, the top of the ciabatta roll.
