This version of the famous cuban sandwich can be made with things found at your local deli - no roasting required! Authentic Cubano sandwiches will have roast pork but our version achieves that smokiness with our Hickory Salt.

Ingredients

1 small loaf cuban bread or 4 large slices peasant bread

¼ cup mayo

¼ cup quality mustard

½ teaspoon Moxie Hickory Smoked Sea Salt

8 slices swiss cheese
-
8 slices of deli ham
-
10 dill pickle chips
Directions
In a small bowl, mix together mayo, mustard and Hickory Smoked Sea Salt.
If using cuban bread, slide down the middle and cut in half to make two sandwiches.
Prepare sandwiches. Spread mayo mixture generously on both sides of bread.
Place cheese slices on both sides of bread. On the bottom half of the sandwich, add the ham and be sure not to lay the ham flat, you want some air between slices. Add a layer of pickles on top of the ham and close the sandwich by adding the other half on top.
Add assembled sandwich to a preheated panini press and cook on high for 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
