Forks over fancy, baby. This is not your grandma’s soufflé or some over-engineered side dish with seventeen herbs and a prayer. This is sweet potatoes, mashed straight-up with a fork, because who’s got time to haul out the stand mixer? Five ingredients and just the right amount of sass to keep your plate (and your life) interesting. It’s rustic, it’s bold, it’s unapologetically simple—and yes, it tastes like you actually tried.

Ingredients
-
4 medium sweet potatoes
-
4 tablespoons butter
-
¼ cup maple syrup
-
¼ cup heavy cream
-
2 teaspoons Moxie Smoky Maple BBQ Seasoning
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
With a fork, poke holes in sweet potatoes and then wrap in foil. Place in the oven on center rack. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
Remove potatoes from oven and unwrap foil. Cut a slit down the center of the sweet potato to ventilate. Set aside and let cool slightly.
Once potatoes have cooled, remove jackets and put insides in a medium bowl. Add butter, maple syrup, heavy cream and the Smoky Maple BBQ seasoning to the sweet potatoes.
Mash with a fork until everything is well-combined and smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste. Enjoy!
