Ingredients

1 T olive oil

2 rib eye steaks (or strip steaks) with excess fat removed (approx 18-20 ounces)

Moxie Flavor Bomb Seasoning
-
4 Tablespoons butter, softened

2 Tablespoons Moxie Mediterranean Seasoning*
Mediterranean Moxie Melt
Directions
First make the Mediterranean Moxie Melt by combining softened butter with Moxie Mediterranean seasoning in a small bowl. Mix well to incorporate. Set aside at room temp.
Season both sides of the steak with Flavor Bomb Seasoning and set aside for 5-10 minutes. When ready to cook, add oil to the pan (preferably cast iron) and heat on high until almost smoking.
Add the meat to skillet and sear 1-2 minutes on each side to form a crust. Reduce heat to medium high and continue cooking for 3-5 minutes, turning once during cooking. Note that the time will vary depending on the thickness of the steak and your preferred temperature.
In the last minute of cooking, add the moxie melt to the pan. With a spoon, ladle the melted butter and drippings over the steak continuously until steak is at desired doneness.
Transfer the steaks to a cutting board to keep warm and let rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving with your favorite side dishes.
